As of December 2020, Shenzhen has 10 port areas including Shekou, Chiwan, Mawan, Yantian, Dachanwan, Shayuyong, Xiadong, Dongjiaotou, Fuyong and Herong.

1. Shekou Port Area, located between Wuwan and Zuobaotai Mountain on the Nantou Peninsula in the north of Shenzhen Bay, was developed and constructed by China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone. It is the earliest port area developed and constructed in Shenzhen.
